UCLA coach Jim Mora Jr. and former UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel discuss the Bruins’ awesome recruiting class. Two very classy guys handling a potentially awkward situation amazingly well — Go Bruins!
My Startup Story: StartSomeGood (The Guardian)
I usually don’t share these kinds of articles, but I’m fond of this one, plus there’s the added bonus of The Guardian “translating” my article into British English — the first time I’ve ever referenced my “Mum.”
In life, you generally get rewarded for taking risks.
UCLA Receives Record Number of Applications
72,626 freshman applications, more than any other school in the country. Go Bruins!
I know many of you have probably seen this already, but it may just be the best thing I’ve read all year. It’s created by the guys behind Holstee.com (fellow Sandboxers!) as a reminder for what they want to live for and I find it incredibly inspirational.
“Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them. “
…it’s about living meaningfully well. Its purpose is not merely passive, slack-jawed “consuming” but living: doing, achieving, fulfilling, becoming, inspiring, transcending, creating, accomplishing — all the stuff that matters the most.
It didn’t work out for Rick Neuheisel as UCLA’s coach, but he remained the epitome of class even after being fired. A fitting tribute after his last practice, being carried off the field by his players while singing Mighty Bruins. Check out the video of his last practice interview here. Go Bruins!
A great photo from the LA Times of the Beat $C bonfire at UCLA last night. GO BRUINS!
