No one would ever confuse me with someone that likes interior decorating (the two times I’ve been to Crate and Barrel I wandered around in circles like a lost puppy until a salesperson came along and helped me pick out wedding gifts), but I decided to do do a little room makeover recently.
The highlight? These awesome Ork posters. If you haven’t seen them before, Ork makes these great stylized maps of major cities, prominently featuring the various neighborhoods of each. Check out this closeup of DC; you can see the amazing fonts and attention to detail.
Of course I went with the three cities I’ve lived in: LA, SF and DC, and the Geography nerd in me loves it.
It’s so hot in DC today that my BusyCal calendar replaced the normal sun logo with a burning thermometer and a reminder that it’s really, really hot.
I’m a huge believer that you should always have a camera with you, because you never know when you’ll want to use it. That’s why I’m not an SLR guy, and prefer little Canon pocket-sized cameras. But, I just got an iPhone 4 and its built-in camera absolutely deserves all of the hype its been getting! It’s so great to have a capable camera in the phone (which, let’s be honest, hardly ever leaves my side) that can really take some great shots.
This photo was a quick snapshot with my iPhone, edited in the Camera+ app, and then uploaded directly to Tumblr — all from the phone!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes!
Knowing my love for all things BRO-tastic, my friends got me this amazingly bad cologne as a celebration of my wannabe Bro-ness. Not only is it by “Bod Man,” it also promises “Sexy x2.” Will the girls of DC be able to handle this multiplied level of sexy?
