I got up early this week to attend the “A Common Word between us and you: A Global Agenda for Change” conference at Georgetown University, which featured prominent Christian and Muslim leaders working together towards dialogue and understanding.
Though the “right and honorable” former Prime Minister of Britain, Tony Blair, was the headliner, I thought that Kjell Bondevik, former PM of Norway, was the most impressive speaker on the panel. I was impressed with his honest, and straightforward manner in addressing very difficult issues, and the rational way in which he looked at both the problems and potential for the future. I’ve included text of Blair’s remarks, as well as some photos I took at the event.
