Goodbye DVDs, hello SD cards

Computer World writes about Apple possibly trading in DVD drives for SD card slots on future computers.  This makes a ton of sense to me.  SD cards are better than DVDs in virtually every way: they are smaller, can hold more data, and by removing the optical drive, the Macbooks can start slimming down towards Macbook Air territory.  I download most software, and even movies and CDs are more easily downloaded than purchased in disc form.  Here’s hoping I’ve bought my last DVD drive laptop.
