My number one rule of travel: always carry your camera with you — even if you just step out for a minute.  The beauty of travel is in seeing the mundane in exciting, fresh, new ways.  Last night we checked out the Ahmedabad Night Bazaar (lots of pictures to come from there), and ended up strolling along, wandering, exploring, with the warm summer night enticing us to continue.  At a random intersection, in a random part of town, I came across this scene: a dog, soaking itself in a tub which had filled with rain water from the brief storm earlier in the evening.  He sat, content with life, as the craziness of India swirled around him.Though, from a technical perspective, the photo is far from perfect, it is one of my favorite travel photos I’ve taken.  Why?  It just seems to capture this unique moment, at this unique point in time better than any words I were to write could.

Making Two Huge Leaps

Within 24 hours I made two pretty big leaps: one metaphorical, one quite literal.

On Friday I made the commitment to leave my full-time job to focus all of my energy on StartSomeGood. The next morning, I was 11,000 feet in the air jumping out of a plane, my first time ever skydiving. Read More

Hiking Ulriken in Bergen, Norway

Though there’s a cable car that takes you to the top of Ulriken, the tallest of seven mountains surrounding Bergen, my friend and I decided to hike up to the peak. It was one of the best decisions of our trip. Read More

Burps, Bathrooms and Sunsets
